Setia Eco Park: Arundina Ecopark (Phase 3A)

It was a sunny morning when City & Country arrived at S P Setia Bhd’s Setia Eco Park township, yet the temperature was cooler than in other parts of Setia Alam. “Owing to its location right next to the Bukit Cerakah Forest Reserve and having plenty of greenery itself, Setia Eco Park, in general, is 1°C to 2°C cooler than the immediate neighbourhood. This was observed by our team, which is based here,” explains Setia Eco Park general manager Desmond Ong.

Spanning 864 acres, Setia Eco Park is a high-end residential enclave comprising freehold, individual-titled semi-detached houses and bungalows. It currently has a population of 8,000 living in 3,000 homes.

Work on the development — a joint venture between S P Setia (50%), the Employees Provident Fund (34%) and Great Eastern Life Assurance (M) Bhd (16%) — started in 2004. Ong says almost 80% of Setia Eco Park has been developed, with the remainder to be developed in the next five to 10 years.
